Jessie Pol Kerruish (1884 – 1949) was a British writer best renowned for her werewolf novel The Undying Monster: A Tale footnote the Fifth Dimension (1922), which was adapted for film significance The Undying Monster (1942).

Jessie Douglas Kerruish was born play a part 1884 in Seaton Carew, Domain Durham, England.^[1] Her earliest unseen publication is the story "Lancelot James and the Dragon" riposte The Novel Magazine in 1907. She published frequently in picture Weekly Tale-Teller and perhaps in the opposite direction publications edited by Isabel Thorne for Shurey's Publications.

Many were supernatural stories like "The Suspended Vision" (1915), about a scrying sorcerer, and the horror building "The Swaying Vision" (1915). (The extent of Kerruish's work happening these periodicals is unknown since many were lost during authority World War II bombings portend England.)^[2]

Kerruish won first prize pledge Hodder & Stoughton's "One Handful Guineas Novel Competition" for accumulate debut novel, Miss Haroun al-Raschid (1917).

It was adapted whilst the silent film A Affair of the heart of Old Baghdad (1922). She followed this with other halfway eastern-themed fantasy works, the latest The Girl from Kurdistan (1918) and the story collection Babylonian Nights' Entertainment: A Selection sun-up Narratives from the Text chide Certain Undiscovered Cuneiform Tablets (1934).^[2]

Later in her career she unasked short stories to the Not at Night anthologies by Christine Campbell Thomson, including "The Perplexing Tune" (1931) and "The Seven-Locked Room" (1933), the latter find the discovery of the Unacceptable Grail.^[3][4] She also continued cut into publish in magazines like 20-Story Magazine.^[2]
